Interview ´Jessica´s personal journey´

10 March 2026

Discover Jessica´s personal journey from working in IT to becoming a coach and starting her business Inside Wisdom.

Could you tell us what you are currently doing?

¨My name is Jessica, and I live in London with my partner Jeroen and our beloved cat Rose. I am the driving force behind Inside Wisdom, my business through which I coach and train people to reconnect with their heart and soul. I help my clients turn inwards and face their patterns and unresolved emotions, so that they can see clearly how their soul path looks like and what truly makes them happy.¨

How did you get to where you are now? What are the courses you did, the lessons you learned and the mistakes you made that helped you find your path?

¨For a long time I didn´t know what I truly wanted out of life. I rolled from one job into the next, and I lived my life on autopilot. Something changed when I started noticing various symptoms in my body that forced me to pay attention.

I worked in the IT-sector for a long time, and I was afraid to accept management positions, because I didn´t feel ready to carry the responsibility. I knew that this work didn´t make me happy, but I stayed within my comfort zone, because I didn´t know what I truly wanted.

At a certain point I decided to take a break and I went to Asia for 6 weeks with a friend. During this trip we enjoyed life on tropical islands, took diving lessons and partied at the beach. Life was good and carefree. At the end of this trip, I discovered that I was pregnant, and this turned out to be a turning point in my life. My pregnancy gave me a strong sense of responsibility and a longing to stop wasting my time with something that didn´t make me happy. It helped me listen to my body more and rediscover my boundaries.

When I was 33 years old and lived in Geneva with my family, I started bleeding in between my periods. A gynaecologist’s analysis showed that I had an ovarian fibroma. Instead of getting it removed, I decided to investigate alternative methods and discovered the Grinberg method. During the weekly sessions I experienced as a client I was able to access the hidden layers of my trauma. I felt more liberated and was able to really appreciate and enjoying life, motherhood and my relationship, and living in a new country. I got back in touch with my heart, and from the deepest layers of my body I felt that I wanted to work with people and help them to deal with their trauma’s.

During this process I started remembering the sexual abuse that had happened when I was 8 years old, which I had suppressed for 28 years. It amazed me how we can keep our traumas hidden for so long. Deep down I knew I had to face this trauma, not just for myself.

In 2008 I got re-examined by a gynaecologist, and there were no signs anymore of the ovarian fibroma. Before the scan, I knew deep down that my body had healed itself. I remember sharing my experience with the gynaecologist, but he wouldn’t hear of it. This experience made it painfully clear to me that this doctor from the medical world was not open to hearing about alternative methods to healing, methods that are often way more effective in healing the true cause and not just fixing the symptom. ¨

¨These days, people seem to be more open to walk a conscious path. To let the uncomfortable parts of life coexist with humour, lightness and joy. My personal experiences and the lessons I have learned help me guide others in their search for a more conscious life. It lights me up to help people journey inwards, so that they can start living a life that truly makes them happy. ¨

Were you scared to start your own business? How did you make the decision to go for it?

¨I was nervous to start a business, but after being laid off I rolled into it naturally. My father has been an inspiration for me; he became a business owner at age 50 and I would help him out sometimes. ¨

What are the types of clients you work with, and why?

The clients that come to me are often at a turning point in their lives and are looking for depth. This could manifest in the following areas: ¨

-They want to change careers

´They are wrestling with an addiction

-They experience issues in their (intimate) relationships

-They are overwhelmed with certain emotions without knowing what caused them

-Women who experience symptoms during their menstrual cycle (a delayed or irregular cycle, excessive bleeding, painful periods etc) ¨

What advice would you give to other coaches and therapists who want to start their own practice?

¨When you are starting out as a coach it is helpful to have weekly sessions with someone walking a similar path. I started doing this about 7 years ago. It is also valuable to get together with other business owners, so that you don´t have to figure everything out on your own. ¨
